A good homemade pasty should be the birthright of every Cornish child. Everyone has their own very firm ideas on how to make them, but if you'd like to know...
Brenda's pasty recipe came from her mother Lena… she was asked for it so often, that eventually she wrote it out and photocopied it as a little leaflet that she sold at the folk club. Her long and rambling narrative explains much of the basic logic behind the making of a good Cornish pasty - I have updated and augmented it into a more practical form, and you can download it here as a pdf file, and print at your leisure.
